About

O Live Brooklyn features the largest, fresh selection of single varietal extra virgin olive oils and aged balsamic vinegars on tap in Brooklyn.

Based on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope, and at the foot of the Williamsburg Bridge in the historic Gretsch Building, O Live Brooklyn is the premiere destination for professional & home chefs, organic food lovers, CSA & Coop members, as well as all types of  “foodies” who appreciate pure, high quality, organic and all natural foods.

Family owned & operated, we import our products from Veronica Foods who have had a presence in the olive oil industry for the past 90 years. They work in close partnership with farmers in both hemispheres to deliver fresh, high quality products to us all year long. They personally source all of their products and never deal with middlemen.

We strongly believe that extra virgin olive oil is like fruit juice: highly perishable. It is healthier and more flavorful when consumed fresh. This is one of the reasons why we post the Harvest Date on every oil we offer.

In addition to the harvest date, we are extremely obsessive when it comes to the chemistry of our olive oils. The chemistry of a particular oil can tell you many things. It tells us the polyphenol count (antioxidant value), the measurement which dictates flavor intensity, to whether it's suitable for high heat cooking, based on its unique free fatty acid measurement and fruit condition. We also measure oleic acid in our oils, the monounsaturated fat in Olive Oil that makes it so healthy.

With over 50 unique products on tap, we are confident that we can assist you in selecting an oil or vinegar that best fits your needs. Sample packs and gift boxes are also available.

We invite you to come in and taste the difference!
Sample everything in the store and feel free to ask our highly trained staff any questions you may have regarding our oils, vinegars, potential recipes and pairings

Owner/Operators
Greg Is a native New Yorker who grew up in Queens and attended Brooklyn Technical High School in the late 1970’s. After twenty-five years in the television industry he is now returning to the borough of his formative years. His reasoning for creating O Live Brooklyn is simple. As a father and CSA member he’s grown to appreciate organic, all natural and healthy food choices. He hopes to spread his enthusiasm for healthy and flavorful food to the community.
After loving NYC from afar for years, Elizabeth finally moved to the south side of Williamsburg to pursue her painting career in 1988.  She formed a life centered on a love affair with NYC, pure and healthy food and exploring the natural beauty of upstate NY.   Inspired by raising her daughter, she continues exploring her interest in fresh local food and natural products. Elizabeth loves practicing yoga, is devoted to environmental and educational advocacy and has maintained a psychotherapy practice in Soho since 1996.
Together, Greg & Elizabeth take great pleasure in raising their daughter with an organic and all-natural lifestyle.
